Bitcoin Faces Pressure as Oil Hits Monthly High on Iran Strike Warning
Bitcoin held near $81,500 as Iranian state-media correspondent Morteza Ghoroghi warned of possible conflict within 24 hours.

Bitcoin traded near $81,500 on Saturday as Brent crude reached a monthly high and a warning of possible U.S.-Iran hostilities added to strain across risk markets.
Brent rose from below $106 to about $110, while U.S. crude reached $100. Iranian state-media correspondent Morteza Ghoroghi said President Donald Trump’s remarks pointed to conflict within 24 hours and described Iran’s armed forces as fully prepared.
Bitcoin briefly dropped below $80,000 earlier this week for the first time in a month before rebounding. It remained down 1.5% over seven days and more than 6% from a recent local peak.
U.S. stocks also declined. The S&P 500 fell 2% last week, and the Nasdaq 100 dropped 3% Friday, its steepest weekly decline since April 2025.
Bitcoin’s response to major developments over previous weekends often came as traditional markets reopened.
