Filecoin Trades Near $1.15 Before Its Solstice Network Upgrade
An Oct. 17 snapshot showed a flat MACD histogram, while a separate close-based calculation was negative; the network upgrade is scheduled for Oct. 19.

Filecoin (FIL) traded near $1.15 in an Oct. 17 technical snapshot ahead of its Solstice upgrade, while separate momentum calculations offered conflicting signals about the token’s short-term trend.
The snapshot placed FIL at or above its seven-day simple moving average of $1.15 and above its 20-day average of $1.10, 50-day average of $0.96 and 200-day average of $0.87. It also gave a prior 24-hour range of $1.12 to $1.22.
In that intraday snapshot, the MACD and signal line were both 0.0511, leaving the histogram at 0.0000. A separate close-based calculation for Oct. 17 put FIL at $1.13, with MACD at 0.048 and the signal line at 0.055, for a negative 0.007 histogram. The readings use different snapshots and do not establish one consistent momentum signal.
One technical map put resistance at $1.21 and $1.27, with support at $1.10 and $1.06. A separate calculation listed resistance at $1.18 and $1.22, showing that the levels vary across technical readings.
Filecoin is a decentralized storage network, and FIL is its network token. Its Solstice mainnet upgrade, network version 29, is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19, at 8:59:30 a.m. ET (12:59:30 UTC), at epoch 6,470,279. FIP-0118 will deprecate Filecoin Plus and fund services through a split of block rewards.
