SOXX Falls for Ninth Session, Marking Longest Losing Streak Since 2006
The ETF lost more than 4% Friday as chip stocks sold off broadly.

The iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) fell more than 4% Friday, extending its decline to nine sessions and marking its longest losing streak since May 2006 amid a broad chip-stock selloff.
The fund had fallen for eight consecutive sessions through Thursday, Oct. 15, as detailed in an earlier update on SOXX’s decline. Friday’s loss extended that run to nine sessions.
The streak is SOXX’s longest since May 2006. Its latest decline came during a broader selloff in semiconductor stocks.
