Major U.S. real estate gauges advanced during the week, while declines in some AI-related and data center property stocks pointed to uneven performance across the sector.

The major gauges gained more than 1% over the week.

Some AI-related and data center real estate investment trust stocks fell amid concern that high rates could make continued AI infrastructure investment harder to finance. The broader real estate gauges still advanced during the week.

The move recalls an earlier week when real estate shares advanced while AI and semiconductor stocks fell. The Federal Open Market Committee’s next scheduled meeting is Oct. 27-28.
