TRON Founder Justin Sun Says He Cut 80% to 90% of an Ether Position He Managed
He said the trades took place in November or December 2025 and that he retained some Ether as a base holding.

TRON founder Justin Sun said he cut 80% to 90% of the Ether position he managed and bought U.S. stocks, describing a portfolio shift while leaving the size of the trades undisclosed.
Sun placed the Ether reductions around November or December 2025, when Ether traded between $3,600 and $4,000. He said he had not bought Ether back and kept some as a base holding. The interview was published Saturday, Oct. 17.
Sun characterized Ether as a more aggressive holding than Bitcoin (BTC). He said he had not reduced his Bitcoin position over the previous year and described BTC as a core holding.
He said he and his team bought a lot of U.S. stocks during the same period. Sun named NVIDIA and Nasdaq-100 exposure among his significant holdings. He expressed a slightly negative view of the Nasdaq over the medium term but said he had not shorted the index.
Sun said he sold after interpreting Ether’s price pattern as a fragile double top. He cited an earlier move near $4,800 and a later rally that he associated with exchange-traded fund activity and Tom Lee.
Sun did not disclose how many Ether he sold or retained, or the value of the stock purchases.
