XRP Trades Near $1.30 as One Snapshot Shows $2.76 Billion in Futures Open Interest
Futures volume reached $1.79 billion over 24 hours, while an October contract market showed 50% for XRP to touch $1.20.

XRP traded at $1.2963 at 6:32 a.m. ET (10:32 UTC) Sunday, Oct. 18, down 1.02% in 24 hours and 7.17% over seven days, while one dashboard snapshot listed $2.76 billion in futures open interest.
At that snapshot, futures volume over the prior 24 hours was $1,787,932,842, compared with $280,139,285 in spot volume. Futures liquidations totaled $5,836,295 over the same period.
Open interest measures futures positions that remain open. Each contract has both a buyer and a seller, so the total alone does not show whether traders are collectively positioned for a rise or a fall.
An October contract market tied to XRP reaching $1.20 showed a 50% probability, while the $1.40 outcome showed 42%. The market displayed $272,416 in total volume, including $4,517 for the $1.20 outcome. The contracts concern whether XRP touches those levels during October, not its closing price on Oct. 31.
The $1.30 area also featured in earlier coverage of XRP and Bitcoin (BTC) dominance.
