Three scheduled developments will put Ethereum’s software roadmap, U.S. monetary policy and crypto derivatives on the calendar from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30, giving markets separate updates without a shared price signal.

Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to activate on Hoodi, a test network, at 1:42:48 p.m. ET (17:42:48 UTC) on Oct. 26. The activation is set for epoch 132,352 and slot 4,235,264. The test covers changes to block production, transaction validation and gas accounting, including proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists. Hoodi’s gas limit is also scheduled to rise to 200 million.

The activation is confined to Hoodi. Ethereum has not set a mainnet date for Glamsterdam, so the Oct. 26 deployment does not schedule an immediate change to mainnet fees or capacity. The milestone is a test-network event rather than a date for a live-network upgrade.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve’s policy-setting committee, is scheduled to meet Oct. 27-28. On Oct. 28, the calendar lists a committee meeting at 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC), followed by a press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET (18:30 UTC). The Fed’s Sept. 16 decision lifted the target range by a quarter point to 3.75%-4.00%, starting Sept. 17. The October gathering will bring the committee’s next scheduled policy decision and press conference.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) monthly options on Deribit expire Oct. 30 at 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC), on the exchange’s regular last-Friday schedule. Deribit calculates delivery prices using a 30-minute time-weighted average of its index, covering 3:30 to 4 a.m. ET (07:30 to 08:00 UTC). That window sets the settlement calculation for expiring contracts; it does not indicate whether either asset will rise or fall. The options settlement is the final scheduled event in the Oct. 26-30 sequence.
