Celestia’s Native Token (TIA) Falls 14% From Daily High After Eden Announcement
Eden is a standalone EVM chain that posts data to Celestia and uses TIA for gas, but the announcement did not establish its transaction volume or fees.

Celestia’s native token, TIA, fell 14.3% from its Oct. 17 high to the session close, a pullback recorded a day after the network announced Eden, a chain designed to use the token.
Celestia introduced Eden on Oct. 16 as a standalone Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chain for agentic commerce experiments. Eden runs its own EVM environment, posts data to Celestia and uses TIA to pay gas fees.
Celestia provides data availability, allowing other chains to publish data for use by their networks. Rollup developers also pay fees in TIA to publish data blobs to Celestia, giving Eden activity a potential link to token demand.
The announcement did not establish how much activity or fees Eden will generate. Its use of TIA creates a possible source of token demand, but the launch announcement alone does not show whether that use will be sustained.
