Binance-held Uniswap (UNI) reserves fell to about 72.9 million after a decline that began after Oct. 10, while the token’s Oct. 17 close remained 21% below its Oct. 5 level. The balance tracks UNI in Binance addresses; by itself, it does not explain why tokens moved or show that new buyers have arrived.

UNI closed at $7.15 at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 17 (0000 UTC Oct. 18), compared with $9.08 at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 5 (0000 UTC Oct. 6). The difference is about $1.93 per token. Uniswap is a decentralized exchange where users swap tokens from their wallets, and UNI is its token.

A falling exchange-address balance describes how much UNI is held at Binance. It does not establish whether tokens were sold, moved elsewhere or held in a different kind of address. The reserve change therefore does not confirm stronger demand or a lasting price recovery.

Grayscale’s DeFi Fund held UNI as its largest component, with a 39.90% portfolio allocation and $3.57 million in assets under management as of Sept. 30. The allocation is a portfolio weight, not evidence of new purchases. The fund sold UNI during its Q2 2026 rebalance; at the end of Aug. 3, UNI made up 34.16% of the portfolio. Those figures reflect different dates, and fund weights change daily.

UNI also saw a one-hour slide to $7.09. The reserve balance and the price comparisons describe separate market measures; neither establishes that the reserve decline has translated into stronger buying.
