Bitcoin (BTC) moved into net-inflow territory for the United States in 2026, the first time since 2022, as transfers above $10 million brought 53,200 BTC into the country.

The figures cover the 12 months ending July 1, 2026. Transfers under $10,000 went outward on net over that period, while the largest transfer category recorded Bitcoin arriving in the United States. These categories sort activity by transfer size.

A measure combining Bitcoin’s share of crypto-service inflows, exchange trading and net cross-border receipts also showed the U.S. share rising in each reporting period after spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds launched in Jan. 2024. The trend provides another view of the country’s growing place in Bitcoin activity. TokenPost previously covered the shift to net Bitcoin inflows in the United States.

Dollar-pegged stablecoins are used differently. They make up a smaller portion of U.S. crypto activity than they do elsewhere, but accounted for 99.1% of stablecoin order-book volume. People outside the United States can use these tokens to hold dollars without having a U.S. bank account.

Stablecoins can move across borders from U.S. issuers without using correspondent banks, and those transfers may not appear in payments statistics. Issuers hold much of the tokens’ reserves in short-dated U.S. government debt, tying overseas use of digital dollars to demand for Treasury assets.

Will Su, BlackRock’s managing director and head of digital assets research, said, “Investor interest in bitcoin as a monetary alternative remains strong, particularly as government debt and spending reach new highs globally.”
