Altcoin Basket Falls 14% as Crypto Market Liquidity Tightens
The 141-token group averaged a 14% weekly loss, compared with a 3% decline for Bitcoin.

Altcoins posted steeper losses than Bitcoin last week as trading activity and other liquidity measures weakened across crypto markets.
The average decline across a 141-token altcoin group was 14%, while Bitcoin (BTC) fell 3%. Crypto trading volume also dropped, stablecoin supply continued to contract and exchange-traded fund (ETF) flows shifted to net outflows, signaling pressure on market liquidity.
Derivatives offered a less severe picture. Options pricing indicated limited stress, and speculative positions in Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) futures remained near high levels. Those measures had yet to fully reflect weakness in spot markets.
This week, areas to monitor include key Bitcoin technical levels, Ether (ETH) positioning, and changes in altcoin flows and positions.
