CME Plans Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) Futures, Lifting Lineup to 11
Standard and micro contracts will cover 250 and 25 BCH, and 10,000 and 1,000 UNI. CME product pages listed regulatory review as pending at 11:56 p.m. ET Oct. 18 (03:56 UTC Oct. 19).

CME expects futures on Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) to bring its single-asset crypto futures lineup to 11 when trading begins Oct. 19.
The standard BCH contract will cover 250 BCH, while the micro contract will cover 25. Standard Uniswap futures will cover 10,000 UNI, and micro contracts will cover 1,000. The additions would bring CME’s single-asset crypto futures lineup to 11.
A six-month trading history for UNI futures would satisfy a condition in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s generic listing standards for a spot Uniswap ETF. The standard requires futures on the underlying asset to trade for at least six months on a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated designated contract market. Meeting that condition would satisfy one listing requirement for Bitwise’s pending spot Uniswap ETF.
Futures tied to five other crypto assets have recorded more than $1 billion in combined notional volume this year. The contracts add regulated tools for managing price risk as crypto markets mature.
As of 11:56 p.m. ET Oct. 18 (03:56 UTC Oct. 19), CME’s product pages listed both contracts as pending regulatory review. The planned launch date is Oct. 19.
