Zcash (ZEC) rose nearly 3% at 3:15 a.m. ET (07:15 UTC) on Oct. 19 as Grayscale’s spot Zcash ETF posted a third straight week of outflows and futures exposure remained below its month-earlier level.

ZEC traded near $1,158 at that time, after reaching about $1,049 on Sunday. The token had declined for three consecutive weeks, losing roughly 30% over that stretch.

The fund, which trades as ZCSH on NYSE Arca, recorded about $19.2 million in net outflows from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16. The latest figure extends the pattern covered in earlier reporting on ZCSH outflows and ZEC’s chart signals.

ZEC futures open interest stood near $2.3 billion, down from $3.29 billion a month earlier. Open interest measures contracts that remain open; it does not show whether holders are retail or institutional investors, or whether their positions are long or short.

The price rebound coincided with continued ETF outflows and lower futures open interest. Those figures do not establish what caused ZEC’s decline or recovery.
