XRP Open Interest Climbs 4.01%, Leading Five-Asset Snapshot
Bitcoin had the highest funding rate at 0.0100% every eight hours. Dogecoin was the only asset with declining open interest.

XRP posted the largest 24-hour increase in open interest among five crypto perpetual-futures markets at 7 a.m. ET (11:00 UTC) Oct. 19, as long accounts outnumbered short accounts for every asset.
Open interest in XRP reached $415.3 million, a 4.01% gain. Long accounts represented 73.8% of XRP accounts, while short accounts accounted for 26.2%. Its mark price stood at $1.30. The funding rate was 0.0015% per eight hours, equivalent to 1.6% on an annualized basis.
The figures contrast with the Oct. 15 XRP futures snapshot. In that reading, XRP open interest fell 33.47% to $271.8 million, and funding was -0.0047% every eight hours. The long-account share then stood at 72.8%.
A positive funding rate requires holders of long positions to pay holders of short positions. Every asset in the latest group had a positive rate, though open interest did not rise in every market.
Bitcoin (BTC) led on funding at 0.0100% per eight hours, or 10.9% annualized. Its open interest increased 1.36% to $7.86 billion, and its mark price was $82,326. Long accounts held 58.4% of the total, with short accounts at 41.6%.
BTC's funding rate was unchanged from the Oct. 18 five-coin check. Its open interest was $7.76 billion in that earlier snapshot, while long accounts represented 62.5%. The latest reading shows a higher open-interest total and a smaller long-account share.
Ether (ETH) had $5.58 billion in open interest, a 0.82% increase over 24 hours. Its mark price was $2,422. Funding reached 0.0074% per eight hours, or 8.1% annualized, and long accounts made up 72.3% of accounts, compared with 27.7% short.
Solana (SOL) recorded the group's second-largest open-interest increase, rising 3.29% to $947.3 million. Its $104.79 mark price came alongside funding of 0.0098% every eight hours, equivalent to 10.8% annualized. Long accounts represented 69.5% and short accounts 30.4%.
Dogecoin (DOGE) was the only asset whose open interest fell, slipping 1.01% to $210.8 million. Its funding rate was 0.0093% every eight hours, or 10.2% annualized, at a $0.0791 mark price. Long accounts accounted for 71.3%, with short accounts at 28.7%.
