Goldman Sachs upgraded CoreWeave to Buy on Monday, pointing to 73% upside potential after a steep sell-off in the AI infrastructure company's shares since Aug. 11.

Goldman Sachs analyst Gabriela Borges changed the rating from Neutral to Buy and set a $106 price target, down from $139. CoreWeave shares had fallen 43% since Aug. 11, including a 24% drop over the five trading sessions before the upgrade.

Borges believes investors are overestimating the company's future capital costs while underestimating the potential for investment returns to improve. Concerns about credit market volatility, financing costs and the strength of AI demand have accompanied the sell-off.

The rating and target moved in opposite directions: the $106 mark is $33 below the prior target even as the recommendation rose. CoreWeave is an AI infrastructure company, and concerns around the stock span financing costs and demand for AI computing.
