An Oct. 19 reading put Binance’s NVDAUSDT equity perpetual at 217.17 Tether (USDT), below three shorter moving averages and above its 200-day average.

The contract was up 1.34% over 24 hours. Its seven-day simple moving average stood at 217.82 USDT, its 20-day average at 227.88 USDT and its 50-day average at 225.22 USDT. The 200-day average was lower, at 212.18 USDT.

The daily gain did not put the contract above any of those three shorter-period measures. The figures show where its price stood relative to each average in the Oct. 19 snapshot; they do not establish a continuing decline.

A stochastic reading was near 20, the threshold commonly used to identify oversold conditions. The relative strength index was around 40, above its own oversold threshold of 30. Neither reading establishes that the contract has begun to recover.

NVDAUSDT is a perpetual futures contract that tracks NVIDIA Corporation common stock and settles in USDT. It trades around the clock, including when the U.S. stock market is closed. A contract quote represents activity in the derivative, not a trade in NVIDIA shares.

NVIDIA shares last closed the regular session at $214.13 at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC) on Oct. 16. That close and the Oct. 19 contract reading come from different markets and times.

During certain periods when external equity quotes are unavailable, the contract’s price index can use prices derived from its order book. The index uses a different method during premarket trading.
