Mastercard shares closed at a record $617.42 on Oct. 16, ahead of third-quarter results covering the period when the payments company acquired BVNK and expanded its stablecoin payment capabilities.

The company’s second-quarter figures provide a comparison for the upcoming report. Net revenue rose 14% from a year earlier to $9.3 billion, and adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $5.04.

Cross-border payment volume grew 12% on a local currency basis in the second quarter. Net revenue from value-added services and solutions increased 20% as reported.

Mastercard completed its acquisition of BVNK on Aug. 3, during the third quarter. The deal expanded Mastercard’s stablecoin payment capabilities. On Oct. 15, after the quarter ended, the companies launched a platform combining traditional currency and stablecoin tools.

Mastercard plans to release its third-quarter results Oct. 29 and discuss them on a conference call at 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC).
