Nasdaq Outpaces S&P 500 as Dow Falls in Oct. 19 Trading

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was the only one of the three indexes moving lower during the session.

U.S. stocks moved in different directions during trading Monday, Oct. 19, as the Nasdaq outpaced the S&P 500 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell, leaving the three major indexes split.

The Nasdaq posted the strongest gain of the three. The S&P 500 also rose, while the Dow was the only one moving lower in the intraday reading.
