Teradyne Rises 5.08% as Nasdaq Gains 1.06% at U.S. Open

Teradyne rose 5.08% at the U.S. open Monday, Oct. 19, as four other AI-linked stocks advanced and the Nasdaq gained 1.06% amid a mixed start for major stock indexes.

Marvell climbed 4.83%, followed by a 4.76% gain for CoreWeave. Astera Labs advanced 4.22%, and AMD added 3.79%. Teradyne had the largest increase among those five companies.

The S&P 500 rose 0.53%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.05%. The Cboe Volatility Index, a gauge of expected stock-market volatility, fell 8.25%. The Nasdaq posted the strongest gain among the three major indexes.

AI-linked shares had also advanced in Thursday trading, when the Nasdaq edged up 0.08%. The Trade Desk, EPAM, ServiceNow and Atlassian rose in that session as well.
