Thirteen Dogecoin (DOGE) addresses held 46.18% of the supply tallied in a rich-list snapshot on Oct. 19, a concentration that does not show how many people own the coins.

At 6:22:40 p.m. ET (22:22:40 UTC), the top 13 addresses held 72,240,146,709 DOGE. The rich list’s displayed distribution rows totaled 156,432,381,030 DOGE, making the 13 addresses’ share 46.18% of that listed total.

The largest address held 27,164,003,624 DOGE. The second held 11,678,079,132 DOGE, and the third held 10,934,742,143 DOGE. These figures describe balances recorded at addresses at one point in time; they do not establish the number of beneficial owners behind them.

A custodian’s address can hold assets for many customers. Robinhood, for example, holds customer cryptocurrency in pooled wallets and tracks ownership in an internal ledger. That custody structure illustrates why an address balance should not automatically be read as one person’s holdings.

One of the top 13 was a Dogeparty burn address holding 1,854,588,275 DOGE. The address was used in Dogeparty’s 2014 token creation process and remains inaccessible. Removing its balance leaves 70,385,558,434 DOGE across the other 12 addresses, or 44.99% of the listed total — about 45%.

On Sept. 29, the 10 largest addresses held 44.4% of DOGE supply. That figure covers a different date and a smaller group of addresses, so it is context rather than a direct comparison with the Oct. 19 top-13 share.

Address balances can change when coins move between wallets, without showing open-market activity. A balance change alone does not establish that DOGE was bought or sold. The same distinction appeared in earlier DOGE wallet-balance coverage.
