Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Shares Rise After Trial Data Release
Median overall survival was 15.8 months for 48 patients whose tumors tested positive for Cyclin E1, versus 7.5 months for 46 who tested negative.

Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. shares rose Monday, Oct. 19, after the company released interim Phase 2 data on Sunday showing 15.8 months of median overall survival in a Cyclin E1-positive subgroup with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
Median overall survival was 15.8 months for 48 patients whose tumors tested positive for Cyclin E1, compared with 7.5 months for 46 patients who tested negative. Both groups received azenosertib alone. Overall survival was a secondary endpoint, and the analysis included data collected through Sept. 2, 2025.
The study enrolled 102 patients who had received one to five prior lines of treatment. Of those, 93 had previously received bevacizumab. Cyclin E1 status was assessed retrospectively and could be evaluated in 94 patients. No new safety signals were observed.
The results are scheduled for presentation during a rapid oral session at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress on Friday, Oct. 23. The session runs from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. ET (14:15 to 15:45 UTC). Azenosertib is also being studied in DENALI Part 2 and the Phase 3 ASPENOVA trial.
