Bitcoin (BTC) was worth fewer ounces of silver on Oct. 12 than on Oct. 5, though the ratio remained above its Aug. 10 level, showing different results across the measured periods.

One BTC was worth 1,357.0047 ounces of silver on Oct. 12, compared with 1,408.4560 ounces on Oct. 5. The Aug. 10 reading was 970.8590 ounces per BTC.

The ratio expresses Bitcoin’s value in silver rather than U.S. dollars. Its decline between Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 shows that Bitcoin lost value relative to silver over those dates. The readings do not establish what caused the change or indicate where either asset will trade next.
