Ethereum Validators Hold Record 43.8 Million Ether at Q3 End
The balance represented 35.9% of Ether supply, while gross annualized staking yields fell on Ethereum and Solana.

Ethereum’s active validators held a record 43.8 million Ether (ETH) at the end of Q3 2026, as staking continued to draw net inflows despite a decline in gross annualized yield.
The validator balance represented 35.9% of Ether’s supply. Ethereum recorded its sixth consecutive quarter of positive net staking inflows, while its gross annualized staking yield fell to 2.63% from 2.81%. The inflow streak does not mean the amount held by active validators rose in every quarter.
Solana (SOL) had 69% of its supply staked. Its gross annualized staking yield declined to 5.99% from 6.38%. An average of about 46% of NEAR’s supply was staked in Q3, with a gross yield of 4.87%.
Tokenized-equity trading also increased during the quarter. Tokenized-equity trading volume on Solana’s decentralized exchanges reached $6.93 billion in Q3, up 45% from Q2.
On Robinhood Chain, average daily decentralized-exchange volume for stock tokens rose from $17.0 million in July to $377.1 million in September. September’s average was more than 22 times July’s.
