Organic stablecoin transfers averaged more than $400 million an hour in Q3 2026, while a separate 12-month measure showed most screened volume moved outside U.S. bank business hours.

In the 12 months ending July 31, 2026, about 73% of screened stablecoin transfer volume occurred outside U.S. bank business hours. That measure covers a different period from the Q3 hourly average and tracks transfer value rather than the number of transactions.

Adjusted quarterly stablecoin transfer volume reached $891 billion in Q3 2026, up from $216 billion in Q1 2023. The increase was more than fourfold. Adjusted quarterly volume is a separate measure from the organic hourly average.

Sending a $200 stablecoin remittance over Base can cost about 86% less than using traditional payment channels. That comparison concerns a specific payment example, rather than the cost of all stablecoin transfers.

If the current growth pace continues, adjusted transfer volume would approach $1.5 trillion per quarter in Q4 2027.
