XRP rose 2.20% in one hour to $1.33 on Oct. 20, while short liquidations far exceeded long liquidations during the same period.
TokenPost collected the price directly from Binance’s XRP/USDT spot market. XRP stood at $1.30 one hour before the $1.33 observation. Over a separate 24-hour period ending at the same time, the asset was up 2.60%. The one-hour and 24-hour changes use the same latest observation but different starting points.
Across Binance, Bybit and OKX, TokenPost’s direct tally recorded $850,000 in XRP short liquidations during that hour, compared with $10,000 in long liquidations. The liquidation tally covers all three exchanges; the quoted $1.33 spot price comes from Binance alone. The liquidation tally covers the preceding hour; the $1.33 Binance spot price is a single observation.
XRP ranked fifth among crypto assets by market capitalization, at about $82,321,780,000. Its one-hour gain accounted for most of the 2.60% increase measured over 24 hours, making the latest hour the sharper of the two reported price comparisons.
