Wallet Linked to Clifton Collins Sends 500 BTC to Coinbase Prime

The sending wallet had been inactive for more than a decade.

A Bitcoin (BTC) wallet linked to Clifton Collins sent 500 BTC, worth about $41.5 million, to Coinbase Prime.

The sending wallet had been inactive for more than a decade.

Collins acquired roughly 6,000 BTC between 2011 and 2012.

Ireland’s Criminal Assets Bureau, with help from Europol, recovered and seized 1,500 BTC from Collins’ holdings between March and July.

Collins kept the private keys in a fishing rod case. The keys were believed lost, leaving the holdings inaccessible.
