Near Protocol Rises 5.20% in One Hour to $5.04 on Binance

Near Protocol (NEAR) rose 5.20% in one hour to $5.04 at 8:02 p.m. ET Oct. 20 (00:02 UTC Oct. 21), as short liquidations exceeded long liquidations across three exchanges.

NEAR traded at $4.79 an hour earlier on Binance’s NEAR/USDT spot market. It was up 2.57% over 24 hours at the same observation time. The price change was calculated from directly collected exchange prices; the $5.04 reading is the Binance spot quote for that trading pair.

Over the same hour, NEAR short liquidations totaled $650,000 across Binance, Bybit and OKX, compared with $150,000 in long liquidations. Short liquidations were more than four times the long total across those exchanges. Both liquidation totals cover the same one-hour window used to measure the price move.

NEAR ranked 19th by market capitalization at the time, with a market value of about $6.60569 billion.
