Canton Coin Closes at $0.105082 After 16% Seven-Day Decline
CC remained above $0.10 at the Oct. 20 close. A planned securities tokenization service connected to Canton Network is expected to enter production in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Canton Coin (CC) closed at $0.105082 on Oct. 20, a 16% seven-day decline that left it near $0.10 as The Depository Trust Company (DTC) prepares a tokenization service connected to Canton Network.
CC had closed at $0.125130 on Oct. 13. The figures use UTC daily closes: each stated date ends at 8 p.m. ET (00:00 UTC the next day). The Oct. 20 close was $0.005082 above $0.10.
The token came closer to that level on Oct. 18, when it closed at $0.101272. That was its nearest daily close to $0.10 during the seven-day period. CC rose from that close by Oct. 20 but remained below its Oct. 13 price.
DTC, a subsidiary of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), plans to let eligible participants tokenize securities held at DTC. More than 30 firms participated in the July 15 initiative, which included production trades using DTC-tokenized securities. Asset conversions in the initiative took place on Canton Network and a private Besu network.
DTCC targeted October 2026 for the service launch. The service is expected to launch in production in the fourth quarter of 2026, with an initial selection of eligible securities based on participant demand. The July trades were part of the earlier initiative; they do not mark the launch of the planned service.
CC is Canton Network’s native utility token. Network fees paid in CC are burned, while contributors can mint CC as rewards. The planned service could add network activity, but its schedule establishes neither how much CC it will use nor a cause for the token’s seven-day decline. The next step is the expected production launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
