Strategy’s STRC Still Below $100 More Than Five Months After May 15 Drop
Strategy repurchased $193.1 million of STRC from Oct. 12–18, following $192.4 million in purchases the previous week.

Strategy’s STRC preferred shares remained below their $100 stated amount on Oct. 20, more than five months after a May 15 drop, despite continued repurchases by the company.
Strategy repurchased $193.1 million of STRC from Oct. 12–18. The previous week, it spent $192.4 million on STRC repurchases and $21.5 million on Bitcoin (BTC) purchases — about 8.95 times as much on the preferred shares.
The company began repurchasing STRC in late July under a preferred stock buyback program. STRC’s dividend rate can be adjusted monthly to support trading near $100, but the repurchases have not returned its price to that level.
Strategy CEO Phong Le has said repurchases below $100 “can reduce future preferred dividend requirements at a discount.” That explains the financial benefit to the company even while STRC trades below its stated amount.
Strategy is scheduled to report third-quarter results Oct. 29.
