The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and ENTRA1 Energy signed a nonbinding agreement on Sept. 2, 2025, to explore a proposed nuclear power program of up to 6 gigawatts. ENTRA1 plans to use NuScale’s small modular reactor technology.
On Aug. 5, NuScale said ENTRA1 and TVA were working toward a definitive power purchase agreement. A separate partnership agreement names NuScale as a key technology supplier for ENTRA1 projects while leaving purchasing decisions to ENTRA1.
