112 Million USDT Moves to Bitfinex as Three Transfers Reach $222.6 Million

An unknown wallet sent 112 million Tether USDt (USDT) to Bitfinex on Oct. 20, leading three large crypto transfers worth $222.6 million in a three-hour period.

The Bitfinex transfer occurred at 2:11 p.m. ET (18:11 UTC) and was valued at $111.9 million. The tally covered the period ending at 5:05 p.m. ET (21:05 UTC).

At 2:26 p.m. ET (18:26 UTC), an unknown wallet sent 24,544 Ether (ETH), worth $60.2 million, to Beacon Depositor. At the same time, another unknown wallet sent 610 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at $50.5 million, to Coinbase Institutional.

The three transfers totaled $222.6 million in exchange inflows. No transfers from exchanges to unknown wallets were recorded in the three-hour tally.

Exchange deposits can make assets available for trading, but these transfers do not establish that their owners sold. An earlier roundup of five large transfers on Oct. 20 covered $957.6 million in moves, including $836.8 million sent to exchanges.
