Aerodrome’s AERO Rebounds 11% Ahead of Wednesday’s Scheduled Aero Launch
The token closed at $0.884278 after four lower daily closes. Self-custody holders must initiate swaps through the upgrade portal when it opens.

Aerodrome Finance (AERO) gained 11.13% on Oct. 20, closing at $0.884278 after four consecutive lower daily closes as the planned launch of the combined Aero platform neared.
The move followed a decline from $0.936831 at the Oct. 15 close to $0.795747 on Oct. 19. Tuesday’s close remained below the Oct. 15 level, making the gain a partial recovery.
Aerodrome operates a decentralized exchange and liquidity hub on Base. The planned combination with Velodrome under Aero is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 21 (00:00 UTC Thursday, Oct. 22). The plan is intended to bring the two protocols’ liquidity and governance functions under one platform.
Once the upgrade opens, self-custody holders must initiate the swap through the upgrade portal; exchanges will handle conversions for tokens held on their platforms. Liquid AERO can be exchanged for new AERO at a one-for-one rate, while liquid VELO can be exchanged for 0.044 new AERO per VELO.
