A large Ether (ETH) short was fully liquidated as the token rebounded, leaving the wallet behind the $32.72 million leveraged position with a $1.11 million loss over two days.

The trader initially shorted 13,830 ETH at $2,366 per token. The position was worth about $32.72 million, compared with $1.25 million in starting capital. When ETH climbed to $2,409, a portion covering 2,765 ETH, valued at about $6.66 million, was forcibly closed.

The trader added to the short when ETH pulled back to $2,387. The price rose again, and the rest of the position was liquidated. The wallet’s remaining capital fell to about $140,000 after the trade.

The $32.72 million figure describes the size of the short position; the $1.11 million loss describes the decline in the trader’s capital. The partial liquidation did not end the trade: the wallet increased its short during the pullback before the final forced closure.
