A Hyperliquid account that began trading Oct. 19 built nearly $50 million in positions tied to WTI and Brent crude over two consecutive days, as U.S.-Iran negotiations and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz continued.

The figure represents the combined size of the account’s oil positions, not a realized gain. The account added exposure across both types of crude after it began trading and had approached the $50 million mark by Oct. 21.

The buildup took place as Qatar and Pakistan put forward a compromise proposal during the U.S.-Iran talks. The negotiations remained unsettled while tensions around the Strait of Hormuz continued.

The timing places the trades alongside those diplomatic developments. It does not establish what outcome the account holder expects from the negotiations.
