Five wallets held $2.63 million in 5x long positions in SPCX on Aster by 11:52 p.m. ET Tuesday (03:52 UTC Wednesday), with $223,000 in unrealized profit.

The wallets deposited USD1 before opening positions totaling 16,287 SPCX units. The $2.63 million figure was their combined market exposure. The $223,000 gain reflected positions that were still open, rather than proceeds from closed trades.

At 5x leverage, a trader controls a position five times the size of the margin committed. Leverage magnifies the effect of price moves in either direction. The figures capture the five wallets’ positions at one point in time; the unrealized gain can change while those trades remain open.

Aster is a decentralized exchange.
