Binance said it would leave data from an overnight U.S. trading-system disruption out of the funding-rate calculation for all U.S. equity TradFi perpetual contracts at 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC) Oct. 21.

Intermittent connectivity problems affected a major U.S. overnight alternative trading system from 11:46 p.m. ET Oct. 20 (03:46 UTC Oct. 21) through 2:30 a.m. ET (06:30 UTC) Oct. 21. Binance's adjustment covered premium-index readings recorded during that window for contracts tied to U.S. shares.

The premium index is one component used to set funding rates. Omitting readings from the affected window keeps them out of that settlement's funding calculation.

The funding settlement was scheduled for 4 a.m. ET, 90 minutes after the connectivity window ended.
