0.7 Bitcoin Was Worth About 1.064 Billion Rupiah at Oct. 21 Rates

A hypothetical 0.7 Bitcoin (BTC) amount had an indicative value of about 1.064 billion Indonesian rupiah at Oct. 21 rates, based on Bitcoin’s dollar price and the rupiah’s exchange rate.

The calculation used a reference rate of 17,986 rupiah per dollar. At that rate, 1 billion rupiah equaled about $55,599, while the hypothetical amount was worth roughly $59,159. The estimate describes a currency conversion, not a completed exchange or a documented investor balance.

At the same exchange rate, Bitcoin would need to trade at about $79,427 for 0.7 BTC to equal 1 billion rupiah. The rupiah value changes with both Bitcoin’s dollar price and the exchange rate.

Indonesia’s digital-asset customer accounts totaled 23.21 million as of August, 1.23% higher than in July. Crypto transactions totaled 23.16 trillion rupiah during August, a 12.87% increase from July. The account figure is a count as of August, not a tally of people who traded during the month.

Bank Indonesia kept its benchmark rate at 5.75% on Oct. 21 and continued efforts to stabilize the rupiah amid external pressure.
