A trader increased a short position in Hyperliquid’s SpaceX-linked SPCX contract by a net $7.25 million after covering some contracts during the day, bringing open exposure to about $17.55 million.

The account held 109,793.82 contracts at the time of the reading, 73.1% more than at the start of the day. The $7.25 million increase is the net addition after intraday covering, rather than the total value of contracts opened.

The short had an average entry price of $153.44 and a liquidation price of $207.27. Its unrealized loss stood at about $705,900. The loss had not been locked in by closing the position when it was measured.

The $17.55 million figure is the value of the trader’s open contracts, while $7.25 million measures the net increase in the position. Both figures concern one SPCX short position on Hyperliquid.
