Five-Day Tether (USDT) Contraction Pressures Bitcoin (BTC) Recovery Signal
The 60-day market-cap trend had improved from midyear lows, but USDT lost nearly $1 billion in market value over the latest five days.

Bitcoin (BTC) is facing mixed stablecoin signals: Tether (USDT) lost nearly $1 billion in market value over five days, while its 60-day market-cap trend had been improving toward flat after reaching lower levels around midyear.
The two measures cover different periods. The longer-term trend had improved, but the recent contraction means that improvement has not yet become sustained expansion.
A decline in USDT alone does not establish that capital is leaving crypto markets overall. Liquidity may shift to other stablecoins, and ETF demand can reach Bitcoin through a separate route. The recovery risk is conditional: continued USDT supply contraction while Bitcoin stalls could add pressure.
