Grayscale has added an in-kind investment option to 10 digital asset products, letting eligible investors contribute crypto for shares without a preliminary conversion to cash.

The products cover Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Dogecoin (DOGE), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Sui (SUI), XRP and Zcash (ZEC).

Under the arrangement, investors contribute the digital asset itself in exchange for product shares. In-kind investing describes that direct asset-for-share exchange, which skips a cash conversion before the investment.

The structure may lessen the burden of self-custody and reduce potential transaction costs. The service can help investors include digital assets in traditional portfolio management.

The change gives eligible investors another way to access the covered products: They can use supported crypto as their contribution, with product shares received in return. The offering spans 10 products and includes assets from BTC and ETH to ZEC, as well as SOL, AVAX, LINK, DOGE, HYPE, SUI and XRP.
