Nasdaq Composite Gain Reaches 1% as U.S. Stocks Advance
The Dow rose 0.22% and the S&P 500 gained 0.43% in a Wednesday market snapshot.

U.S. stocks advanced in uneven trading on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite’s gain reaching 1% and outpacing the Dow and S&P 500 in a market snapshot relevant to crypto traders tracking broader risk appetite.
At 11:38 a.m. ET (15:38 UTC) Oct. 21, the Nasdaq Composite was up 1.00%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.22%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.43%, leaving all three major indexes higher.
Several large stocks also advanced. Nvidia was up 1.71% and Apple gained 1.56%. Tesla rose 3.49%, Meta added 2.49% and Palantir climbed 3.52%. SpaceX was up 9.97% in the same snapshot.
The Nasdaq’s gain was more than twice the S&P 500’s and over four times the Dow’s. That left the Nasdaq with the strongest advance among the three benchmarks, while all three remained in positive territory. For crypto traders, these moves provide a snapshot of risk appetite in U.S. equities, but stock gains do not establish a matching move in digital-asset prices.
