Chinese robotics-linked shares advanced Thursday as Tesla CEO Musk said the humanoid-robot sector could become the world’s largest industry, putting gains in Chinese stocks alongside his forecast for the technology’s potential global scale.
奕帆传动 reached its daily 20% trading limit. 鸣志电器 returned to the limit-up level, while 兆威机电, 赛福天 and 大洋电机 had hit their daily limits earlier. 福莱新材, 三协电机, 浙江荣泰 and 方正电机 were among the other leading gainers.
Musk made the industry forecast during Tesla’s earnings call Wednesday. He said humanoid robots could eventually outnumber people. He also said issues involving robot AI, electromechanical design, reliability and service life could be resolved by the end of 2027.
