Liquid Capital founder 易理华 urged traders to reduce activity in choppy markets, saying both long and short trades can involve trading drag and problems.

In an Oct. 22 post, he also advised traders to overcome greed and control how often they trade. During a bull trend, 易理华 said, traders should avoid shorting pullbacks. He said focusing on higher-confidence trades could be enough to meet annual goals.

易理华 also connected the approach of the midterm elections with the possibility of larger market swings. He described Trump as facing an unfavorable position and said the loss of one or two seats in the midterm elections could bring greater market volatility.
