Tesla fell 5% in U.S. premarket trading Thursday, Oct. 22, while SpaceX declined 2.5%, and Tesla’s annual capital expenditure forecast was lowered. At 4:07 a.m. ET (08:07 UTC), IBM was down 5.6%, the largest decline among the three companies.

Tesla’s move was 2.5 percentage points larger than SpaceX’s, amounting to twice the percentage drop. IBM fell 0.6 percentage point more than Tesla and 3.1 points more than SpaceX. The ranking by decline size was IBM first, Tesla second and SpaceX third. All three changes came from the same premarket snapshot, so the comparison covers the same trading window.

The lower annual capital spending forecast was the context linked to Tesla’s 5% drop. SpaceX’s decline was below Tesla’s, while IBM posted the steepest move. These percentages describe premarket trading before the regular U.S. session and do not represent completed full-session performance. The readings are specific to that early trading window.
