A 2025 Cronos POS governance proposal called for a 70 billion CRO strategic reserve under a five-year lockup. It set out installments of about 1.167 billion CRO at intervals of 2,628,000 seconds, or roughly 30.4 days. The next installment is listed for Nov. 16, 2026, though release dates and amounts may vary.
The proposed installment equals about 2.4% of the 49.55 billion CRO in circulation reported as of Oct. 11. CRO had a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, with 49 billion in the strategic reserve and 428.01 million burned as of Oct. 11.
Vesting makes tokens available under the plan but does not establish that holders will sell them. As of Oct. 11, 95% of the 21 billion CRO vested so far remained in reserve. CRO also appeared in an earlier roundup of scheduled releases for Oct. 11-16.
