Coinbase plans to suspend trading in Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH) on Nov. 23 across Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime, as Forth DAO considers distributing treasury funds under a separate proposed sunset plan.

The halt is scheduled for about 2 p.m. ET (19:00 UTC). FORTH trading is already restricted to limit orders: customers can submit or cancel orders, and matches may still occur. Withdrawals will remain available after trading ends.

FORTH holders approved a wind-down proposal in September, and protocol administration moved to the Kennel Club multisig. The DAO's separate sunset proposal would distribute USDC based on holder balances at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 30 (00:00 UTC Dec. 1), followed by a three-month claim period. The DAO treasury held 2,538,734.86 USDC as of Oct. 14. Holders with offchain FORTH would need to move it onchain before the snapshot to qualify.

Coinbase has not announced whether it will support the proposed distribution. Under the proposed sunset, FORTH held in the DAO treasury would be burned, while the token itself could continue trading as an ERC-20. Debate has focused on the proposed snapshot date and whether stAMPL holders should also qualify. Binance removed FORTH spot trading in April.
