Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs Post $635.6 Million Outflow After Three-Day Inflow Streak
The reversal followed inflows on Oct. 19–21. Estimated cost bases for ETFs and tracked corporate treasuries range from $80,000 to $81,500, based on data through Oct. 19.

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $635.6 million in net outflows on Thursday, Oct. 22, ending three straight sessions of inflows. Estimated cost bases for the funds and tracked corporate treasuries range from $80,000 to $81,500.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded $254.1 million in net outflows on Oct. 22. The withdrawals reversed the positive flow pattern from Oct. 19 through Oct. 21.
Cost basis is the estimated average acquisition price for a group’s holdings. The data behind the $80,000-to-$81,500 range run through Oct. 19. A daily close below $80,000 would put both ETF and tracked corporate treasury holdings underwater on average.
The True Market Mean, an estimate of active market participants’ average acquisition cost, is near $77,600. Both measures are reference levels, not guaranteed price floors.
ETF trading volume on Oct. 19 was below a typical day’s level. The funds’ 30-day average trading volume was less than one-quarter of its level a year earlier.
