Lido DAO’s LDO Trades Below $0.40 as NEST Buybacks Follow Revenue
LDO was $0.3876, down 0.59% over 24 hours, as of 7:52 a.m. ET (11:52 UTC) Oct. 23.

Lido DAO’s governance token, LDO, traded below $0.40 at $0.3876 as of 7:52 a.m. ET (11:52 UTC) Oct. 23, down 0.59% over the preceding 24 hours. The token’s buyback mechanism, NEST, is tied to Lido’s staking revenue and pauses purchases when revenue falls below its baseline.
NEST directs half of daily surplus above an annualized $40 million staking-revenue baseline toward LDO purchases. Purchases are capped at $50,000 per day and $10 million per year. They can resume only after revenue rises above the baseline and accumulated shortfalls are cleared.
On Oct. 7, contributor Kuzmich proposed tying NEST’s threshold to the approved 2027 budget. On Oct. 22, forum participant Jenya_K said she expected the matter to be handled with the 2027 grant request, expected at the end of November. The discussion has not established an approved policy change.
