NAGA Gives Q4 Risk-Off Scenario 50% Weight in Market Outlook
The scenario depends on weaker stock-market breadth and fading AI momentum. NAGA also assigns a 25% weight each to continued dollar strength and a dollar correction.

NAGA Market Analyst Frank Walbaum assigned a 50% weight to a risk-off scenario in the firm's Q4 2026 outlook, making it the leading case if stock-market breadth weakens and AI momentum fades.
Released Oct. 21, the 38-page outlook gives continued dollar strength and a dollar correction 25% each. Those weights reflect Walbaum's assessment, not market-implied probabilities.
In the risk-off case, NAGA projects lower equities and a stronger dollar. Gold could initially decline before safe-haven demand returns. The outlook lists Treasury yields above 5.5%, possible Gulf escalation and upcoming AI-company results as signposts for the scenario.
The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.29% on Sept. 30 from 4.44% on June 30, an 85-basis-point increase during the third quarter. The Federal Reserve raised its target range by 25 basis points, to 3.75%–4%, in a decision announced Sept. 16 that took effect the next day.
NAGA's market data mostly extend through the first week of October. The outlook describes itself as a marketing communication, not independent investment research or investment advice.
