McGlone Says Commodity and Bitcoin Pullback Pattern Could Spread Toward Year-End
He named nine assets that climbed and retreated in 2026 and said resilient U.S. stocks are needed to contain wider market downside risks.

Bloomberg Intelligence senior commodity strategist Mike McGlone said Friday that a pattern of assets rising and then retreating in 2026 may spread further toward year-end, with Bitcoin (BTC) among the markets in that group.
McGlone's list included U.S. natural gas, Bitcoin, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, lead, nickel and iron ore. He described the assets as having advanced before pulling back during 2026.
U.S. stocks need to remain resilient to keep market downside risks from spreading, McGlone said. His comments echo an earlier warning that Bitcoin weakness could spread to stocks and metals.
